Credit Builder

Build credit with money you already have

The Credit Builder card is a secured charge card, and that changes everything about how it works. You move money onto the card, you spend it like a normal credit card, and the balance pays itself off automatically. Because you can never spend more than you've moved over, there's no debt, no interest, and no late-fee spiral waiting at the end of the month.

What there is: a payment history. Every on-time payment is reported to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — the same way a traditional card reports, without the traditional ways a card can hurt you.

No annual fee. No interest, ever. No credit check to apply. It's the credit card for people who've been burned by credit cards.

Credit questions

How Credit Builder works

Will applying hurt my credit score?+

No. There's no hard credit pull to apply — or any credit check at all. You qualify with direct deposits, not a score.

Why is there no interest?+

Because it's a secured charge card: you can only spend money you've already moved onto the card, and the balance auto-pays. There's never a revolving balance to charge interest on.

How fast will my score move?+

It depends on your overall credit file — there's no honest answer that includes a number. What we do is report your on-time payments to all three bureaus, every month, and on-time history is the single biggest factor in most scores.
